Unfortunately, I only made it through the first ten minutes of Joe Schmo 2 last night…I forgot it was on at 10:05 p.m. As soon as I got up this morning though, I set my PVR so I will never miss another episode and I won’t have to write the Blog of Shame again admitting that I neglected to watch a show I’ve been hawking to anyone who will listen.
Having said that, the first ten minutes were pretty good! Ingrid caught on to the Big Lie and the Big Sham that is The Show. The producers had no choice but to let her in on the game and, in the most shocking twist ever, they propositioned Ingrid to become part of the show, complete with script and “new character†status, which she gleefully accepted. How fun! Before that though, our host called Ambrosia “Omarosa†which was hilarious and once again, the Last Chance at Love set was almost set on fire by the 13,000 candles burning brightly.
I fell asleep right when they were bringing in the new “faces†of which I assume one of them is a new, unsuspecting Jane Schmo. I have to assume this since I haven’t seen the show yet but I will…tonight…when they replay it. Of course, that puts me in a bit of a pickle because if I PVR Joe Schmo tonight then I have to watch the premiere of The Amazing Race on the smaller (read: not big-screen) TV in my bedroom. Hmm.
In other TV news, North Shore is quickly becoming The Apprentice. Is it just me or is someone threatened with being fired every single episode? Nicole, MJ, Gabriel, Tessa…everyone is about a half-step away from losing their job. Then again, I suppose if I never showed up for work, punched out customers and gave away dozens of rooms I might be called into HR as well. I had a feeling Mr. Morgan Holt wasn’t all that. No guy is that nice to everyone unless he’s hiding something or, in this case, canoodling with “the broker.†He lost serious Cool Points on that which is tragic because I found myself liking Nicole in my most surprising thought ever. The scene at the end where Gabriel is pouting in the moonlight…that was filmed in front of the house where my husband and I were staying on the North Shore at the beginning of June…we saw it! Hee!
For Love or Money 3…yay! PJ picked love…and Preston picked her! I actually think/hope this couple has a chance. They both have a charming dorkiness about them and they seem like real people, not the uber-produced bachelors and bachelorettes you usually see on these shows. That’s exactly why I was rooting for PJ from the first show. She’s smart, she’s cute and I bet she won’t have a Pretty Pink Princess Reality Wedding! Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about bringing two ditched ladies back to For Love or Money 4, which alarmingly starts next Monday.
