So, I have had mixed reactions to my blog from “how great you’re writing again!” to, “do you do anything except watch TV?” to, my personal favorite, “don’t you have a job during the day?”

Since I’m disposing of having a formal F.A.Q section on this blog, I’ll address some of these questions now, for your viewing pleasure.

How Great You’re Writing Again!

Thanks! Anyone who has known me for awhile knows that I’ve loved to write since I was a kid…and it’s no secret that my original goal in life was to become a print journalist. However, who would have known that I actually should have worked at the U.C.S.B. Daily Nexus if I wanted to parlay my Political Science degree into something other than data entry work? I always thought my attention span was too short to become a novelist but I sure could see myself doing the Carrie Bradshaw thing while I was single and writing “No Sex and The City”…hee. This blog isn’t about getting attention but is more about getting down on paper (or PC) all of my thoughts and musings and snarky comments about things. Right now, my bag is reality television…I love it, think it’s hilarious and don’t think it’s exploitive because whoever is doing it is doing it voluntarily. Having said that, writing is a creative outlet for me…and writing this blog has made my brain work in new and exciting ways.

Do You Do Anything But Watch TV?

No, that’s all I do…24 hours a day of TV but I only write about one, maybe two hours of it. Silly rabbit! You think this is bad, wait until the fall season starts! That’s not true…we all have our favorite TV shows and to those I am hopelessly devoted: ER, The O.C., Law & Order, Survivor, The Amazing Race…those are just a few. I enjoy talking about television and now, writing about it. I think the impression that I’m a TV-aholic comes from the fact that most of my blogs revolve around television. Maybe I’ll start talking more about my dogs, then people can ask if I have an unhealthy love/obsession for them…LOL.

Don’t You Have a Job During the Day?

Why yes, I do! Thanks for asking! This would explain why I don’t write recaps of Ellen, Dr. Phil or Live With Regis and Kelly. Folks in traditional work environments (i.e., one in an office, with other people around) move around and talk to people to re-energize their brains. Me, I surf the internet during slow times and look for funny news stories. Hey, life’s short. Laugh hard.

I hope this little session answered some of your burning questions. As for any other burning questions you might have, please consult your physician.

Monday night…what’s on tonight…oh yeah, Joe Schmo 2…at 10:00 p.m.
