Be sure to exercise your right to vote! I was listening to the news this morning, and heard that, even in hotly contested Presidential election years, only 57% of registered Texas voters actually vote. What a shame. You’d better believe that extra 40% (I’ll give a 3% margin of error for folks who were unexpectedly called out of town or otherwise unable to vote, although they wanted to) will bitch and whine and moan and complain if things don’t go their way. I don’t want to hear it.
I’m particularly interested in how I-83 in Seattle pans out. You see, the Seattle Monorail Project is the project the UberHusband is working on that might send us to Seattle for 4 or 5 years this upcoming Spring. If you’re interested in a local political hotspot, check out all of the monorail debate at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and the Seattle Times.
And, just out of curiosity, how long did you have to wait to vote today? Was it a pleasant experience? Were you met at your local fire station with protesters lurking too close to that 100-ft. barrier? How was the weather? Back in 2000, I remember the UberFiance and I waited in line for about an hour, outside, at a school, in the rain. That wasn’t much fun.
Post your voting experience here!
