Weird.  He also received an email offering $10k to IRR officers who are willing to move from the IRR into an actual Reserves or NG unit...um yeah...$10k and another pretty much guaranteed tour in Iraq.  No thanks - he said once was enough. :)  Now maybe for <em>a million</em> dollars... But he'd already had 14 years between active duty/national guard/active duty. He was done. And I thought the same thing as Becky. :) I spent a week in Florida in December a few years ago and thought it was just so bizarre to be wearing shorts and seeing plastic snowmen on green grass. Snowmen. on green grass. There was just something wrong with that. But then I do tend to forget that not all of the country turns into a frozen wasteland in winter. Hubs ETS’d just before another promotion too. But he’d already had 14 years between active duty/national guard/active duty. He was done.
