I never said he was “as bad as Sanjaya”…I wrote, and I quote, “Sanjaya joins a long list of finalists (I was going to use the term â€œperformersâ€, but that wasnâ€™t entirely accurate) who made me scratch my head so hard and so often, Iâ€™m surprised I didnâ€™t break skin. For exampleâ€¦Anthony Federov, John Stevens and Kevin Covaisâ€¦just to name a few.”

But come on…a regular gig singing the National Anthem isn’t exactly a record deal, now is it?

I would not put Anthony Fedorov on that list. If he was as bad as Sanjaya he would not get a leading role in the off-Broadway musical. And he would not have a regular gig singing National Anthem at Madison Square Garden in NYC, among his other numerous appearances since AI.
