Last night’s Laugh-Out-Loud Quote O’ The Night during Dancing With The Stars goes once again to Capt. UberHusband who quipped, while Ian Ziering and Cheryl Burke were dancing to “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Maybe you should cover up your back, Cheryl.”
He is so funny.
We’ll omit speaking about Billy Ray Cyrus, because it’s insulting he’s still around…but, why was Joey Fatone dancing with JonBenet Ramsey? That was, by far, the WORST costuming I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Sure, the dress floated and twirled appropriately but, you have to admit, it did look like a cotton candy confectionary pageant dress.
I don’t know if Len has really bad memories of 90210 or what, but I truly don’t understand the negativity towards poor Ian every single week. Props to the former Steve Sanders, because he comes back every single week (despite the fact he has a partner who seems to not like him all that much) and still busts his ass to try to impress the judges. Sadly, Ian’s damned if he do and damned if he don’t, in my opinion. He could come out at this point and dance perfectly…and Len would probably say something asinine like the stitching in his pants was crooked…or his satin shirt is too shiny.
CU and I are torn on who we’d like to see win…but I think we’ve decided on Apollo & Julianne, because they are truly wonderful together and finally….finally…delivered a Paso Doble I actually enjoyed watching, as opposed to those awkward, herky-jerky, bull-in-a-Victoria’s-Secret debacles we’ve seen the rest of the season. Okay. Breathe.
Who do you suppose will be “one of the most notorious” dancers appearing with Mr. Jimmy Kimmel tonight? My money’s on Master P, as we’ve already seen plenty of Kenny Maynes in the last six weeks.

I only caught the last fifteen minutes of DwtS last night, but did see Apolo’s dance which was AMAZING. I hope he wins although I love Joey FatOne.
As for Joey’s partner’s dress (which I saw in the recap) - that is a standard dress for that type of dance. If you watch ballroom at all (it’s on PBS a LOT), you see those dresses ALL THE TIME.

I know…because I made the same comment to CU when he asked about the number on the back of Joey’s jacket…that it was standard costuming.
But, it still looked like a little girl’s pageant dress!

We are hoping that Apollo & Julianne win.
They look like they’ve been dancing together for years!

I’ve been rooting for A/J all season and really hope they win. They are a joy to watch each week. I usually give them the majority of my votes and throw out some to the others that I want to see move on, last night was the first time I did not throw one to Ian and Cheryl. I miss Emmitt.
I did think Laila’s waltz dedicated to her dad was very sweet, too bad he didn’t seem to really know what was going on. It did bring on a tear or two though.
