Here, I pay only about 6% and it is wonderful. I think about the tax bracket I'd be in back home, being DINKs with a job and a home business that makes more than my salary, it would be pretty high. We are able to save 2/3 of what we earn. It makes me not want to move back to the US until I retire! What would I do with the refund check? I don't know, save it for tuition in that doctoral program I'm starting next year, I guess (hence negating the stimulus on the economy that a refund is meant to do).
